OBJECTIVE:

To draw together ongoing research on the silviculture, physiology and economics of SRCTCs so that a coordinated approach to future research can be developed using common methodology and concepts. Particular emphasis will be placed upon.

• a) Identification of the key silvicultural and physiological research issues for sustainable production from SRCTC

• b) An analysis of existing yield data from SRTC plantations in Europe

• c) Investigations of the economic implications for farm units producing SRTCs
