OBJECTIVE:

The following four approaches to MISCANTHUS will be studied:

BIOTECHNOLOGY

• Production of plant material and development of efficient multiplication techniques besides vegetative propagation

AGRICULTURE

• Extension and maintenance of testfields, cultivation of production fields

• Study of agricultural properties, environmental effects and development of economic agricultural methods and equipment

PRODUCTION

• Building of two pilot plants and one production plant

• Production of Miscanthus based building materials and development of new materials

PROMOTION AND COORDINATION

• Building of twenty modular housing units based on Miscanthus building materials

• Promotion of the total Miscanthus concept

• Coordinate the activities of the participants
