The main objectives of ENOFare:

to put in contact and establish collaborations between educational, research, experimentation, demonstration and information organisations working on organic farming techniques.
to collect information relating to organic farming and to identify state-of-the-art research in this field.

Centres carrying out research in the field of agri-forestry ecology can join ENOF as Associate Laboratories and may be invited to participate at workshops and other scientific meetings organised by ENOF.

ENOF has a steering committee that includes the coordinator and 5 sub-coordinators - one for each area of research:

Crop Production and Weed Control
Soil Fertility and Environmental Aspects
Animal Husbandry, Grasslands and Fodder Production
Legal and Economic Aspects
Crop Protection

ENOF publishes a newsletter, NENOF and has organised three workshops relating to organic farming.

The newsletter and proceedings of these workshops are available from the coordinator.
