GasNet - The Biomass Gasification Network |
GasNet - The Biomass Gasification Network - is a global network of 20 members active researchers, developers and implementers of biomass gasification.
GasNet is part of the ThermoNet project NNE5/168/2000, which is a cluster of two Networks, i.e. PyNe and GasNet. PyNe has operated since 1995 while GasNet started its activities in 2001. GasNet is co-ordinated by BTG biomass technology and is sponsored by SenterNovem in addition to DG TREN of the European Commission.
Within GasNet there are eight industrial members involved. It has been established to discuss and exchange information on scientific and technological developments on biomass gasification and related technologies for the production of heat, electricity and/or combined heat and power.
Outputs include a regular newsletter as indicated above, the websites and technical reports that
address all the issues under consideration. The end resilt will be the establishment of a comprehensive
trans-European forum on thermal biomass conversion that will cover all the technical, economic,
market, environmental and policy issues that require consideration for the establishment of a
successful European thermal bio-energy industry.
A newsletter is published twice a year with a circulation of around 2000 - for a free copy contact
