Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop a 100% biodegradable foam, that is easily processable, and can be used for fastfood packaging. This sets specific demands on water, vegetable oil and heat resistance, as well as on microbiological properties.

The project will use specific nano-composite know how from one of the partners to increase the water resistance of starch based formulations. Since there is limited knowhow within the participating SMEs relating to starch based formulations for mould-forming, complete recipes and processing methods will also be developed.
