Integrated study of the long-term performance of wood-based panels in floor and roof construction
Objectives
The project is concerned with a number of inter-relationships among components in an integrated chain linking raw materials with component performance. The links in that chain embrace raw materials, board manufacture, board characterisation, duration of load and moisture resistance of the boards, component performance, and structural design for long-term performance, reliability and economy.
Technical Approach
The project comprises 7 main tasks which together aim to increase the efficiency in use of wood-based panels without compromising structural integrity and safety.
