The Hemp Report is an electronic Newsletter, covering all aspects of the production and use of industrial hemp in North America. As an industry-sponsored trade journal it aims to produce four editions over the next year.

The Hemp Report began in 1999 as an email only newsletter (The Hemp Commerce & Farming Report or HCFR) that quickly became core web content on North America's leading industrial hemp web sites. In 2000, The Hemp Report moved to its own domain (see above) and in 2001 a full time webmaster was appointed. The Hemp Report, that was established to meet a demand for reliable information, works on many levels:

• creating bridges between sometimes far-flung individuals, associations and businesses
• helping raw materials to get to market
• acting as a forum for all stakeholders interested in moving this industry forward
• educating media, government, scholars, and the public
• furthering the sustainable development of hemp business in farm and industry
